Imus...

If there is one thing I could say about Don Imus and his comments, is really, who the hell cares? There are much more significant problems than a shock jock whose silly little banter over a women’s basketball team. I don’t mean to say that he wasn’t insulting, crude or perhaps even racist, but there is still the right given to all, the freedom of speech. This includes saying something really stupid. I don’t think that Imus is really racist, or at least I would hope not. All the same, if he is indeed a racist, it’s his right to think what he thinks. It may not be right, be there is no law against thought. Congress is expressly forbidden to hinder the speech of everyone, so I say, let the village idiot speak, and prove his worth.

Back to my first question, I really don’t care what a guy on air says. If I don’t like it, I just change the station, or turn off the radio. It’s that simple. I have, as most of you do, the ability to think for myself. I know what I like, and if I like something on the radio, I listen, if not, well there is always my Ipod.
